Plot
In South of Midnight, you play as Lazel, an outcast who was raised in isolation by her mother. After a mysterious event shakes the foundations of her family home, Lazel discovers she’s inherited a powerful and unique ability, tied to the ancient myths of her bloodline. The home she thought she knew is a nexus of dark forces, with deep connections to the eerie Southern Gothic world. As Lazel uncovers the truths buried within, she'll need to gather lost fragments of a shattered artifact to unlock her full potential—and face the shadows lurking in the Midnight...

South of Midnight is already available for pre-order, and Xbox has officially announced that the game’s story will take around 10 to 14 hours to complete for the average player. This feels like the perfect length for a narrative-driven experience like this, balancing immersion without overstaying its welcome.
Personally, I’m beyond excited to explore the Gothic Southern world that South of Midnight promises. Its atmosphere feels dark, mysterious, and full of depth—a true blend of folklore, magic, and personal discovery. The game is set to release on April 8th, 2025, and I can’t wait to dive in.
